workLAB Client Protocols

Following a detailed Risk Assessment with our Health & Safety Consultant Mary Darlington of Darlington Consulting, workLAB has rolled out the following COVID19 Protocols to provide a safe environment for clients and staff. This is not an exhaustive list and we will continue to review and update our protocols on a regular basis.

Temperature Testing Facility
  • From Tuesday 16th June, we have provided a No-Touch Digital Hand Sanitiser and Thermometer at reception for client use.This offers the dual benefits of checking the temperature of your staff and visitors as well as dispensing hand sanitiser for disinfection. 
  • Clients/Visitors with a reading over 37.6 °c will be asked to leave the building and take a retest in 10 minutes. If you have a second high reading we ask that you consult your HR manager and do not return to the building. We have a second non contact thermometer to verify a double high reading.
  • All visitors and clients to workLAB are requested to use the facility.

    Main Client Entrance
  • From Monday 24th of May, there will be a one-way system of entry/exit into workLAB. This is a significant change for clients. This is to give clients more space to enter and exit the building while maintaining social distancing.
  • Between the core business hours of 8.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday, clients must enter via the main reception door and exit via the door at the IDA car park side of the building. 
  • From *8.00am – 5.00pm, client FOBs will not allow client access via the workLAB side car park door ***outside of these main business hours, the side door is accessible. Client Fobs are time scheduled**** 
  • Clients are still asked to park in the large side car park and allow the front spaces for workLAB visitors as per normal.
  • Hand Sanitiser is in place at entrances and exits and must be used.
  • Please always adhere to 2 metre social distancing.

Toilets
  • To minimise the number of potential contacts, toilets are being allocated to clients are per zone and office location.
  •  Zone maps have been issued to clients.
  • Clients are asked to respect this zoning as a precautionary measure and only use the toilets in their zone.

General Information
  • All touch points are sanitised several times daily including doors handles, push plates and bars and handrails.
  • Social distancing of 2-metre distance to be maintained.
  • Regular Hand washing is essential.
  • Use of hand sanitiser is essential.
  • We are currently closed to Hot Desking Clients.
  • workLAB staff are temperature tested as they come on duty and results recorded.

Reception
  • We have implemented contact logs at reception of all visitors to workLAB for contact tracing. Our reception team will record all visitors. 
  • Magazines/Brochures have been removed from reception. 
  • We control the front door and stop non workLAB clients entering the building via the front door. We request that clients do not open the front door to anybody other than workLAB clients at any stage. There is an intercom at reception for workLAB staff to talk visitors on.
  • Social distance signage in place.

Joes Café
  • Hand Sanitiser in place.
  • Paper cups only and stirrers. Ceramic mugs and metal teaspoons removed. Clients may use own reusable cups if lidded.
  • Tables and chairs numbers reduced to facilitate 2 metre rule and social distancing.
  • All tables and chairs sanitised after each client.
  • Antibacterial spray available for client use.
  • We recommend clients take staggered lunch breaks if necessary.

In-coming Post
  • All external post and parcels sanitised on arrival.
  • Company Post boxes sanitised daily.

Tea Station Unit 3
  • Some seating removed to facilitate social distancing.
  • Hand sanitiser in place.
  • Counter tops/tables/kettle handles/fridge/microwave doors wiped down regularly.
  • All crockery & cutlery to be placed in the container provided to be washed in the dishwasher after each use.
  • Tea towels, brushes removed.
  • Antibacterial spray available for client use.

Tea Station Main Building
  • Some seating removed to facilitate social distancing.
  • Hand sanitiser in place.
  • Counter tops/tables/kettle handles/fridge/microwave doors wiped down regularly.
  • All crockery & cutlery to be placed in the container provided to be washed in the dishwasher after each use.
  • Tea towels, brushes/scrubs removed.
  • Antibacterial spray available for client use.

Meeting Rooms
  • Tables/Desks/Chairs sanitised after each use.
  • Social distancing in place in all meeting rooms.

Corridors and Doors
  • Regularly cleaned.
  • Where possible doors held back with door stop remove need to push/pull doors open.
  • All push plates and doors sanitised regularly.

General Cleaning
  • Good adherence to general cleaning.
  • Regular Sanitising of Touch Points 4 times daily.

workLAB Staff Training
  • PPE for workLAB staff – gloves, masks provided and distributed to staff.
  • COVID Induction training delivered on the 19th of May 2020. Training Deck available to clients on request.
  • Weekly COVID briefing to staff.
