Incupharm @ workLAB

On Monday 3rd of December there we greeted the announcement that INCUPHARM DAC was one of three South East projects to benefit by a total of over €2.8 million under the Regional Enterprise Development Fund.

Incupharm which will be located in workLAB Waterford and will become operational in 2019. The project will receive almost €800,000 to provide bespoke laboratory space at the IDA Industrial Park to support life sciences start-ups.

This fantastic initiative that will address a lack of quality affordable lab facilities as well as provide specialist services to incubate life science start‐ups in the South East and nationally. There are already over 8,000 people employed in the pharma and medical device industry in the region and Waterford and the South East are fast becoming a life science innovation hub, particularly for indigenous start-up companies so this incubation unit will play a critical role in building on the capability and entrepreneurship potential of existing indigenous and multinational life science companies.

Congratulations to Crystal Valley Tech & National Design Innovation Enterprise Hub who were also beneficiaries.

Minister of State for Training and Skills John Halligan was in attendance at workLAB to make the announcement.
